07.15.17 | I've been bad about updating!
It was a busy first half of the year and I was bad about updating the site. I participated in a few group shows, such as an official Rick and Morty show, a Carrie Fisher tribute show, an official Archie Comics show, and Eat Your Art Out X. I also illustrated a children's book (!!!) – more info to come. I worked on some cool chalk art projects, and I did promo art for Disney/Pixar and Sony Pictures. While there has been a lot of good work happening, I unfortunately also suffered a devastating personal loss when my father died in June. I'm trying to take after him and continue to live life, work hard, and have fun whenever possible.

12.08.16 | Super Deluxe Says Bye to 2016
Well I've been pretty bad about updating my news page...nothing monumental(ly bad) has happened recently, has it?
... I was thrilled when, about a week after election day, I was asked to make some letters for Super Deluxe spelling out many people's feeling towards the year 2016. Check out the cathartic video result. Personally, I've had some great things happen this year, like that whole Star Trek thing, getting published in not one but two pop culture magazines, and my best friend becoming a mom, but we also lost so many icons and inspirations this year, and unfortunately bigotry and fear are running rampant in America. Here's to 2017 – and to fighting the good fight. |
*Special Announcement: STAR TREK: 50 ARTISTS. 50 YEARS.

06.01.16 | Carry On My Wayward Sons
I've been a huge fan of the TV show Supernatural for about 3 or 4 years when I got hooked on Netflix. This season, which concluded on May 25, was the eleventh (!) and it was AWESOME, as Dean might say. Really solid and interesting story arc, fun episodic forays into classic horror, and some touching performances from returning characters. Congrats, Supernatural! See you next season. See the full piece here

I'm WAY psyched to be in this year's Crazy 4 Cult show at Gallery 1988! This is the pop culture art show that started it all, and I'm so happy to be involved, along with a ton of other incredible artists! I chose to pay homage to Clueless – like, one of the BEST teen movies of all time.

10.02.15 | American Horror Story Art Show
I was thrilled to be invited to participate in the official American Horror Story Art Show at Hero Complex Gallery on October 2. They put on a great show with tons of spooky art and a decked out lobby and fun drinks and snacks. Lovelies Naomi Grossman (Pepper) and Jamie Brewer (Adelaide, Nan, Marjorie) even stopped by the show!
My piece was inspired by Asylum and Frances Conroy's wonderful Shachath character – the merciful Angel of Death. Check it out here! |
08.11.15 | Life in LA
I can't believe I've been in LA for almost 5 months! It feels like it's been less and more time simultaneously. It's been fun being the new kid for once, exploring the city and playing tourist. It's not always sunshine and palm trees though – there are times when I really miss my friends and family, and my old neighborhood haunts. The experience has definitely given me a new appreciation for the people I knew who moved to NYC from everywhere else.
There's a lot of good: I love my light-filled apartment, there's an awesome Tiki bar in the hood, it's been awesome to check out shows at Hero Complex Gallery and Galleries 1988, and visit rad establishments like Meltdown Comics. When I'm not working there's still a ton more I want to do and see – and hey – if I don't feel like it I can just chill by the pool.

03.14.15 | Moving to Los Angeles
I'm very pleased to share that I am moving to Los Angeles at the end of March! It's going to be pretty interesting for this native New Yorker and long-time Brooklynite to adjust to California living (e.g. I need a learner's permit...look out L.A. drivers) but I am super excited!
I'm thrilled to be closer to some of my favorite pop art galleries and get more involved in L.A.'s awesome art scene. Also: the beach! Also: fish tacos!!!
I will be available for new work in early April so please feel free to message me with inquires!

09.24.14 | Chalk Art Mural Portraits
Over the summer I completed a set of two large murals in the seating area of the new Juice Generation located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. One wall features the unofficial slogan of the mini-chain, "Peace Love and Juice" and the Williamsburg Bridge. The other features playful design and lettering for various menu items and info. All designs were created and hand-drawn by me.
Brooklyn-based photographer Matthew Vicari took some portraits of me alongside the work. I'm not super comfortable in front of a camera, but Matt did an awesome job! (rocking BlackMilk leggings doesn't hurt, either ;) To see more of Matt's work and contact info check out his site.
